New Trends in Technical Publications
Course ID#: VATP1002
Course description:
Course examines the newest trends in area of technical publications along with new technologies that allow you to leverage 3D engineering data directly to create superior content, faster! Learn to repurpose engineering files without recreating them so you can directly modify and change images to meet your specific needs–such as controlling resolution–that are difficult with screen captures. Topics covered include accessing engineering content without CAD, keeping publications in sync with engineering changes, new methods for creating print media and interactive content, publishing to the web, and more. Hands on lab work will utilize the latest 3D documentation software technology, 3DVIA Composer.
Prerequisites:
Participants should be familiar with industry standard technical publication software and applying it in an engineering / manufacturing technical writing environment. (i.e. user manuals, parts catalogs, service guides etc.)
